#MeetYourTeam
Social Media Marketing Campaign for “Portshowlio 2025”
As part of the Marketing Team, I developed the concept for the #MeetYourTeam social media campaign—a series of 7 Instagram posts introducing each student team working behind the scenes on Portshowlio 2025. These included Branding, Photography, Motion, Event, Exhibit, Web, and Marketing.
Problem To Solve
How can we promote Portshowlio 2025 in a way that not only builds excitement for the event but also highlights the collaborative student community behind it? We needed a campaign that would celebrate the creative teams organizing the event while also engaging the public, showcasing student talent, and attracting prospective students to Seattle Central Creative Academy’s Visual Media and Graphic Design programs.

Process
The project began with concept development, where I proposed the idea of a social media campaign—#MeetYourTeam—to introduce the seven student teams organizing Portshowlio 2025. My goal was to build excitement for the event, highlight the creative collaboration happening behind the scenes, and create content that would resonate with both current and prospective students.
I started by creating a moodboard to establish the visual direction and tone for the campaign. This helped guide the photography style, color palette, and energy of each shoot. I then developed a shot list for the Photography Team to ensure we captured a variety of poses, compositions, and expressions that showcased the unique vibe of each team.
During the photoshoots, I took on the role of art director, curating posing, styling, and selecting background colors that reflected each team's identity. I collaborated closely with photographers and teammates to make each shoot fun, dynamic, and on-brand.
After the shoots, I created and edited short behind-the-scenes videos for Instagram Stories to complement the main posts and give the audience a more personal look at the people behind the event. This added a playful and authentic layer to the campaign.
Solution
My solution was to make students the faces of the campaign and highlight the vibrant, supportive community at SCCA. I acted as Art Director, Creative Director, and Project Planner—leading the concept, organizing visual direction, and coordinating creative assets across platforms.
By combining strong visual planning with playful, behind-the-scenes content, the campaign became both relatable and high-impact. The result was a well-received and highly interactive social media series that successfully promoted Portshowlio 2025 and celebrated the creative energy of the students who made it happen.
